Lydia Park

Lydia is a senior majoring in Computational Neuroscience and minoring in Health Care Studies and Artificial Intelligence Applications. She currently serves as the Treasurer of AMWA and plans to attend medical school, aiming for a career in neurosurgery or cardiology. Lydia has been in AMWA for three years. She found a supportive community of women who empower each other with a shared interest in medicine. Whether it's shadowing physicians or connecting with current medical students and residents, AMWA has provided incredible opportunities to seek mentorship and encouragement from women in different specialties and years in medicine. Outside of AMWA, Lydia is in a neurodegenerative research at USC. She also volunteers at a hospital and shadows a physician at a private practice. In her free time, she enjoys running, working out, cafe hopping, and watching movies. For incoming members, she advises you to get out of your comfort zone and make the most out of your years at USC - whether it be making meaningful connections in AMWA or getting involved in various clubs/activities that are not pre-med related. “Not everything has to be for the resume!”
